What up tho! Guys 2020 has been treating us like red headed stepchildren! Don’t you agree. While the “Rona” put a huge damper in travel, many of us didn’t get to tear up the skies like we normally do. It’s all good though, because before the year ends, I want to share with you all this diamond in the rough, Park City, Utah.
Why Park City Utah?
With Rona running through the streets, I had to be selective of my travels. I had to be very intentional. So in mapping out my Winter Escape Trip for my business, I had to see this place in person. Taste the air, touch things, and most importantly, making sure the vibe was right walking through the area as as African American female. Yes people, I had had to scope the place before I do any business in the area.
Park City, is about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City airport and a pretty smooth drive. We stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Centric Park City and man when I tell you this place is dope, THIS PLACE IS DOPE. Valet is super nice and directed us that parking was underground. I like that because it protects your car from the elements. The inside was cute, welcoming and inviting. It even has a ski lift chair in the lobby that’s perfect for picture taking.
Accommodations
I can appreciate the fact that this resort was exactly what I needed when trying to encompass a mountain getaway. Every room had a fire place, our room was facing the mountain and the bathroom was nice and spacious. Our room had a balcony where we could have our tea and coffee in the morning, then watch the sunset in the evenings.
What To Do?
While the town is small, it makes up for it with everything you could need at your finger tips. There is a Walmart in the area, grocery stores of course and then there is Main Street!
Mainstreet is filled with cute little shops and eateries. The food in my opinion is amazing and was all fresh.
Adventure For That A**
For anyone that knows me personally, knows that I am all about the thrill. The adrenaline, adventure, and the “Yea she’s nuts” type of stuff is what gets me excited. While visiting Park City, we took the four hour drive to Beautiful Moab, Utah. To get here, you have to past the entrance to the famously known “Arches.” We booked a Hell’s Revenge Off Road Tour
This was one of the best days of my life! Why you may ask, check out the videos below.
If you’re asking why I was recording and not driving, it’s because I am not responsible enough to not hit the gas and send us flying through the air like on an episode of Looney Tunes.
Guys, the photos and videos of this place does not do it justice. If you’re interested in booking this activity, be sure to do it EARLY in the morning. The first tour is the best tour because you get first dibs on certain areas of the huge park. This place goes on for MILES! Often in the distance, you would see dust, but no people. But you know their tearing up the place with their 4x4s.
So there it is guys! My first, but not my last time to Utah! If you’re looking for something different, out of your comfort zone, then my friend this is it.
If you’re interested in my Winter Escape trip, be sure to text “ESCAPE” to 44222 to get on the Escape List. Being on the Escape List gives you first dibs on all the trips I have cooking up before it goes public.
